How to Play
Master the art of hex-based word strategy
🎯 Objective
Claim 60% of the hex board to win! Spell words by connecting adjacent tiles to claim territory. Every tile you claim becomes yours.
🔠 Forming Words
Tap or drag across connected hex tiles to spell words. Each tile in your path must be adjacent to the previous one.
Minimum 3 letters required. The word turns green when it's a valid English word.
🔨 Claiming
Once you've spelled a valid word, tap CLAIM to claim those tiles for your color. All tiles in your word path become your territory!
Each word can only be used once per game, so choose wisely.
🔥 Hex Blaze
After turn 6, special Hex Blaze tiles appear on the board marked with a flame icon.
If your word path includes a fire tile, you also claim all adjacent tiles as a bonus explosion!
🛡️ Reinforcement
Claim a word with 5 or more letters and all tiles in that word become reinforced.
Reinforced tiles have a shield indicator and require two captures to steal — the first hit removes the reinforcement, and only a second capture actually claims the tile.
🔮 Mystery Hexes
Mysterious purple tiles may appear on the board after turn 4. Tap one to start a Mystery Challenge!
Choose a target word length and spell a word of exactly that length through the mystery tile within 20 seconds. Succeed for bonus territory — fail and lose tiles!
💡 Strategy Tips
• Longer words earn more points and expand your territory further
• Capture your opponent's tiles by building words through them
• Use 5+ letter words to reinforce your territory
• Watch for Hex Blaze tiles to claim bonus territory
• Try different board sizes in the Settings to keep things fresh
• In online games, use the timer pressure to your advantage
⏰ Timer
You have 30 seconds per turn. If time runs out, your turn is automatically skipped. The timer pulses red when time is running low.
🏆 Scoring
Each letter has a point value (common letters like E=1, rare letters like Z=10). Longer words earn bonus points:
• 3 letters: base only • 4 letters: +1 • 5 letters: +3
• 6 letters: +6 • 7 letters: +10 • 8+ letters: +15 and more
